To
protect main leads between batteries and the connected outlets, like power
distribution panels, anchor windlasses, bow thrusters, hydraulics e.g.,
thermal-magnetic circuit breakers will be installed. The types shown below
provide remote control. This allows to switch on-off main circiuts with
pushbuttons or key switches from every desired place. Suitable switches
see on page 47. Another option would be a discharge protection fuse next
to the main switch available. If the battery’s current descends
below the shut down current, longer than 40 s, all users directly connected
are interupted automatically
